We visit Montana at least once a year because my parents summer there and for a recent trip I had a vision for a photoshoot of Ruby as a rancher. That sent me down a rabbit hole looking for the perfect props. I love dog toys that double as props, especially since Ruby isn’t destructive with toys. My personal favorite amongst the collections is the Nesting Barn with Horses. Ruby isn’t super playful with toys, but she loves enrichment activities. This toy is perfect for that! Not only do the horses burrow inside the barn encouraging your dog to pull them out, but you can also add treats inside the barn for some extra motivation and mental stimulation for your dog.

The toy collection I love doubling as props is this variety bundle. The lasso rope toy is what I had my sights set on for my Ruby Rancher vision and this toy along with the cowboy hat also works nicely for playing tug or using for a “hold” trick. If your dog loves to squeak then the brown cow is definitely for them.
Large Plush Bone Shaped Toy
This large plush bone toy is perfect for the dog that loves oversized toys or very soft, plush toys. Rue loves dragging around larger toys when she’s really excited and using them as her designated pillow.
